Leave Notice Period

The leave notice period setting is used to specify how many days in advance employees should apply for leave.

For example, if you want employees to apply for a leave before 7 days in advance, set this field to 7 when adding a leave type as shown below:

If an employee tries to apply for leave less than 7 days before the intended leave start date, an error will be displayed as shown below:

Note: A manager can override this setting by switching to the employee and applying the leave on behalf of the employee.
