How to add a salary component type?

In order to make changes to the payroll module, log into the admin account. In IceHrm, you can Store employee salary details and group into salary components.

To add a salary component type;

1. Go to the Payroll module in the admin account
2. Click on the Salary session
3. There, you will be able to find the Salary Component Types tab (We have already defined the basic types like basic, allowance and hourly. If you have anything apart from these, you can follow the below steps)
4. Click on Add New tab

5. You can enter a code with a letter and numbers

6. Name the salary component type and click on Save

How to add a Salary Component under the Salary Component Types?

1. Go to the Payroll module in the admin account
2. Click on the Salary session
3. There, you will be able to find the Salary Component tab (We have already defined the basic types such as basic salary, fixed allowances and telephone allowances. If you have anything else to add, you can follow the below steps)
4. Click on Add New option
5. Give a meaning full name to the salary component and then select the salary component type which you created in the above question.
6. You also can write a description of the salary component here.
7. Click on Save

How to add employee salary components?

Using this option, you can define each employee’s basic salary, allowances, and other salary components as below.

To do this;

1. Go to the Payroll module in the admin account
2. Click on the Salary session
3. There, you will be able to find the Employee Salary Component tab (you can define each employees’ salary components here.)
4. Click on Add New option
5. Choose the employee which you would like to define the salary components
6. Select the salary components
7. Enter the amount
8. You can also add a detailed description of the salary component of a particular employee here
9. Then click on Save
