Documents
The Documents area is your central store for everything paperwork-related: company-wide files, each employee's personal documents, payslips, and — new in this version — documents that need to be signed electronically.
To open it, use the area switcher at the top of the left sidebar, click Switch area, and choose Documents.
How it's organised
Under Manage:
- Documents — four tabs: Company Documents (files for the whole company or chosen groups), Document Types (the categories employee documents fall into), Employee Documents (files attached to individual people), and Employee Payslip.
- Document Signing — send documents out for electronic signature and track who has signed.
Under Personal:
- My Documents — the current employee's own view of their documents, shared company documents, and payslips.
- My Signatures — documents waiting for the current employee to sign.
Who can see what
Documents in IceHrm are access-controlled at two levels — the visibility of each individual document, and a per-document-type Share with employee switch. The two work together, which is covered in Visibility of employee documents.
