Creating Review Templates
Employee feedback templates define the structure and questions used for gathering work performance feedback. This guide explains how to create review templates in IceHrm.
Prerequisites
You need one of the following roles to create review templates:
- Admin
- Manager
- Supervisor
Accessing Review Templates
- Log in to IceHrm with appropriate permissions
- Navigate to Manage -> Performance
- The Performance Review module contains four tabs:
- Performance Reviews
- Feedback Requests
- Employee Feedback Templates
- Employee Goals
Creating a New Template
- Select the Employee Feedback Templates tab
- Click Add New to begin template creation
- Enter a name for your template
- Add questions to the template
Adding Questions
For each question in your template, configure the following:
Question Text
Enter the question you want to ask in the feedback form.
Field Type
Select the appropriate field type based on the response format you need:
- Text Field: For single-line, short responses
- Text Area: For multi-sentence, detailed responses
- Select Options: For multiple-choice answers with predefined options
- File Upload: For document attachments
- Date: For date-based responses
- Time: For time-based responses
Select Options Configuration
When using the Select Options field type, define the answer choices in the Options field. Employees will select from these predefined options when completing the feedback form.
Template Best Practices
- Keep questions clear and specific
- Use appropriate field types for each question
- Include a mix of quantitative and qualitative questions
- Test your template before assigning it to employees
