Monitoring Attendance
The Manage > Attendance module allows viewing and editing employee attendance records.

Who Can View Attendance
- Admin: Can view all employee attendance records
- Manager: Can view only their subordinates (direct reports)
Working Hours and Overtime
IceHrm considers 8 hours as a standard working day.
Visual Indicator
Once an employee completes 8 hours of work, the time display turns green.

Overtime Calculation
Any hours worked beyond 8 hours are automatically counted as overtime hours.
Example
If an employee works 9.5 hours:
- 8 hours = Regular working hours
- 1.5 hours = Overtime
Configuring Overtime Settings
You can adjust when overtime begins by changing the overtime start hour.
How to Configure

Go to System > Settings > Attendance

Find Attendance: Overtime start hour

Click Edit to modify the threshold

Save your changes
Default Setting
By default, overtime starts after 8 hours. Change this value to match your organization's policy (e.g., set to 9 if overtime starts after 9 hours).
Quick Summary
- Standard workday: 8 hours
- Green indicator: Appears when 8 hours are completed
- Overtime: Hours beyond the configured threshold
- Admin access: Can view all employees
- Manager access: Can view direct reports only
