During this period, the government pays the salary and the amount is calculated using the average monthly salary for the last 12 months. The vacation should begin after the birth of the child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parental Leave<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Every employee is entitled to 130 days of parental leave. This leave is extended if twins or more children are born at the same time, if a child is born prematurely or if a child requires additional care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of parental allowance corresponds to 100% of the basic salary and may not exceed 2.5 times the average monthly wage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sick Leave<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no restriction on sick leave if the employee provides a medical certificate. If the illness or injury is work-related, the first 30 days are covered by the employer. They will then be covered by social security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of costs covered and who is responsible for payment depend on the reason for the holiday. For example, sick leave for a child and an injury at work are paid for by the health insurance company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Pay &amp; Tax<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Wage Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The monthly minimum wage is EUR 1253.90 and is updated once a year by the Ministry of Labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Individual Income Tax<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Individual income tax ranges from 16% to 50%. The normal working week lasts from Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pay for overtime is not mandatory. Hours that exceed normal working hours may be considered overtime. Overtime pay should be agreed between the parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Termination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Termination Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dismissals must take into account complex rules and the regulations of the country in which an employee is employed. Off-boarding is always carried out by the employer with the main participants. It may include ad hoc fees as well as required or recommended steps for specific termination cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Termination of the employment relationship can occur by mutual agreement between employer and employee. Contracts can only be concluded in written form; other forms of communication are not accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most common types of terminations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Ordinary termination: in the event of dismissal, incompetence or misconduct. The employee is entitled to severance pay. If the employee has been with the company for one to ten years, they will receive 1\/5 of the average salary of the last three months for each year of service. If you have been with the company for more than 10 years, the severance payment is \u00bc, and for more than 20 years it is 1\/3. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extraordinary: when an employee commits a crime, does not show up for work, provides false information, refuses a transfer and commits other serious violations. Termination must be in writing, stating the reason, and delivered personally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notice Period<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The notice period depends on what was agreed in the employment contract. The maximum notice period is 60 days, and if either party requests a shorter notice period, it must comply with the legal provisions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Up to one year of employment 15 days  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After one year of employment, 30 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Severance for Employees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of the severance payment is regulated by the company law. And the amount of severance pay depends on the type of termination. If the employment relationship is terminated prematurely for certain reasons, you are entitled to severance pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of the severance payment depends on the individual case, including the duration of the employment relationship. The following wages can be considered as a guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>For an employment period of up to 10 years, the severance payment is half of the average gross monthly salary of the last three months for each year of employment.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have been with the company for up to 20 years, the severance payment is 1\/4 of the average gross monthly salary for the last three months for each year of work.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have been with the company for more than 20 years, the severance payment is one third of the average gross monthly salary for the last three months for each year of work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Statutory Time Off<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paid Time Off<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Both full-time and part-time employees are entitled to 20 days of paid time off (PTO) per year. PTO is credited monthly at 1.66 days per month. Employees are entitled to annual leave after X months of work.
