# How to add an employee custom field?

This is a very common type of question that comes from our customers.

> In the IceHrm, we have already defined a set of custom fields as below.

If you wish to add something additional to this list, you can get this done using the **custom field** section.

1.  Log in to the **Admin account**

2\. Go to the **Admin module** and click on to the **Custom Field** session

3\. Go to **Custom Field** Tab

4\. Click on the **Add New** button to proceed

5\. **Fill the necessary fields**.

> As the Field type, you can choose a text field, Selection option or upload a file based on your requirements

6\. Then **Save** it
